Description
Join us on Tuesday, May 9th to learn how to use the ICC-700 National Green Building Standard (NGBS) as an alternate pathway to comply with the City of Chicago?s new Energy Transition Code. NGBS is the ONLY green certification program to receive approval from American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for both single and multi-family residential construction.
ICC-700 NGBS provides architects, builders and developers with a flexible above-code program to design and construct homes and apartments that are sustainable, cost-effective and healthier for residents with fewer environmental impacts.
ICC-700 NGBS offers an expanded scope that applies to mixed-use buildings, assisted living facilities, hotels, dormitories, lodging houses, and even monasteries. ICC-700 NGBS includes a certification path for the commercial space of mixed-use buildings; greater flexibility for existing buildings being renovated or converted; a new performance path for water efficiency; and new practices designed to promote resiliency, universal design, and wellness.
Join us May 9th to learn why ICC-700 NGBS:
- Offers a flexible, rigorous, and affordable path to third-party green residential certification.
- Chosen by the City of Chicago Department of Buildings.
- Eligible for green financing and tax incentives.
- Where to find ? or become - an NGBS third party certifier.
