Eric serves as Vice President of Construction at Orren Pickell Building Group, where he oversees all aspects of the company’s construction operations. Drawing on years of hands-on experience and leadership across multiple departments, Eric is focused on elevating quality, consistency, and efficiency across every phase of the building process. His mission is to ensure each project reflects the company’s high standards and delivers an exceptional experience for clients.
Prior to stepping into this role, Eric led our sales and marketing team. This role gave him a comprehensive understanding of client needs, team coordination, and the importance of seamless communication across departments. Eric’s holistic perspective enhances his ability to lead construction operations that are as well-organized as they are client-focused.

Lisa Pickell is President of Orren Pickell Building Group, where she has led transformative growth and innovation in luxury homebuilding and remodeling. She joined the firm in 2004 as Remodeling Division Manager, was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2010, and assumed the role of President in 2017.
Throughout her career, Lisa has been widely recognized for her leadership in the construction and design industries. Crain’s Chicago Business named her among the “Notable Women in Construction and Design” (2020). In 2019 she was recognized as one of 15 honorees in the North Shore Women in Business Awards. She has also been featured in Modern Luxury: CS as one of Chicago’s “Dynamic Women” (2018), and included in Professional Remodeler magazine’s prestigious “40 Under 40” (2011).

After more than a decade running his own practice and 20+ more designing high-end homes and commercial spaces, Thomas joined the Orren Pickell Building Group as president and lead architect in 2019.

A natural leader, Thomas exemplifies the Pickell commitment to great design, integrity and teamwork, noting that our careful balance between architecture and construction helps us stand out among design-build firms.

While his personal aesthetic preferences lean a bit toward traditional, Thomas enjoys designing extraordinary homes, no matter what the style. “Any style can be beautiful,” offers Thomas, “if you do it well.”

Thomas is registered as a licensed architect in Illinois and Wisconsin, and is a City of Chicago Registered Energy Professional. He has studied architecture in the U.S. and Europe.

Sarah brings a unique blend of leadership experience and passion for design to the Pickell team. She spent many years with a prominent semi-custom homebuilder in Wisconsin, where she guided clients through the building process while driving growth in sales and customer satisfaction. Before that, she led large retail teams, honing her expertise in strategy, operations, and people development.

Outside of her professional career, Sarah has personally remodeled and built several homes, deepening her appreciation for quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design. This hands-on experience, paired with her professional background, fuels her enthusiasm for helping clients bring their dream homes to life.

With a distinguished track record at several leading design firms, Anna brought her creativity, professionalism, and dynamic work ethic to the Orren Pickell team in 2021. Her career began with running her own successful design business, where she specialized in interior merchandising, model homes, and both residential and commercial design. This entrepreneurial experience helped shape her deep appreciation for client relationships—Anna thrives on collaborating with homeowners to uncover the unique possibilities within every space.

Known for her optimism and boundless energy, Anna brings the same enthusiasm to her personal life. Whether planning beautiful events, traveling, kayaking, or even skydiving, she approaches everything she does with passion and positivity.
